My top beaches in Florida.

Updated: May 21, 2020

Kick off your flip-flops and get ready to sunbathe on these amazing beaches in #Florida šŸŠ. Find out which beaches in the Sunshine State made your must-see list. Powdery-white sands, turquoise-blue waters, beachfront eateries, and spectacular sunset views make for the perfect getaway. But there's no need to travel to a distant, exotic locale to enjoy these amenities. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are just a few hours away. You don't even need a passport to find them. With nearly 1200 miles of coastline, Florida offers everything travelers need to immerse themselves in some well-deserved relaxation.

#SOUTH BEACH MAIMI šŸŖ‚

For those who've never experienced #Miami, South Beach is the best place to start your adventure. This is the land of beautiful people, world-class accommodations, and year-round fun-in-the-sun. South Beach is not the perfect destination for those seeking solitude and relaxation. It's a thriving hub for locals and tourists alike, where you'll find superb sunbathing spots, volleyball courts, lots of paved sidewalks for rollerblading, and gentle ocean waves that are perfect for the novice surfer.

#KEY WEST, SUNSET KEY BEACH šŸŒ…

Swaying palm trees, powdery white sand and crystal clear blue waterā€”while Key West may have more bars than beaches, here are the islandā€™s best spots for a day spent in the sun and surf. There are many private and public beaches where you will feel the natural soft sand under the feet. These hidden gems can be found along the coast and you will definitely love them. If you havenā€™t been to the Keys and experienced these incredible coastlines with crystal clear waters itā€™s time to start thinking about your next trip.Ā I would like to show you one of them: Sunset Key Beach. Just 500 yards across the Key West Harbor, Sunset Key's private crystal white beach beckons visitors with its hammocks and thatched tiki huts. The beach is reserved for resort guests, who have the luxury of staying in quaint cottages along the shore. If you're not a guest, you can make a reservation at LATITUDES: elegant oceanside restaurant, take a boat to the island and you can feel the atmosphere of this place. With its upscale toes-in-the-sand ambiance and Gulf views, it's the perfect spot for a long lunch or amazing dinner at sunset

#MARCO ISLAND BEACH šŸ¦©

White-sand beach, barrier island in the making, bird watching, shelling, tidal pool exploration and breath-taking sunsets await visitors. A curving coastline of silken white sand and sun-sparkling turquoise ocean lure beach lovers to Marco Island all year long. Thereā€™s something for everyone, from beaches filled with endless activities and watersports to secluded stretches of sand dotted with palm trees. Here are some of the Islandā€™s best-known beaches. An access point lined with sabal palms leads you to peaceful, uncrowded South Beach, where the water is inviting and the sunsets are so spectacular even the locals come here to see them. Warm tidepools are filled with seashells, and the shallow ocean makes for optimum snorkeling. Donā€™t be surprised if the curious Snook swim right up to you.

#SIESTA KEY BEACH šŸ¬

Siesta Key has three beautiful beaches from which to choose. Every beach has the turquoise water and the famous, white sand that has made Siesta Key a #1 Destination in the U.S., but each beach has a slightly different feel to it. TripAdvisor ranked it #1 and #5 in the world! Great sand like powder (cool to touch), amazing water and sky colors. You can see birds and turtles on the beach, and fish, dolphins and seals on the water. If you want to hit a great beach with PLENTY of room, you found it! There are chairs and umbrellas available to rent, a place to get food and drinks (even adult ones), bathrooms, showers, volleyball, parasailing and plenty of activities. Awesome place!

#SANIBEL BEACH šŸ

For those who crave natural settings and collecting treasures along the beach, Sanibel Island, located in the Gulf of Mexico, is a unique choice. Stroll along the 15-mile shoreline that wraps around the island, and you'll find amazing and colorful conch, cockles, and scallop shells, unbroken and plentiful. In fact, this beach is the shelling capital of North America. You'll see a historic lighthouse, a rustic boardwalk, and perfect sunsets on Bowman's Beach, a more remote section of sandy waterfront along on the northwest end of Sanibel Island.

Ā

#CAPTIVA ISLAND BEACH šŸ¦œ

Just north of its aforementioned sister island, Sanibel, Captiva Island is a tropical paradise right here in the United States. It offers some of the best fishing and boating in Florida. The blue waters and white-sand beaches of Captiva Island stretch into the horizon. So we recommend watching a spectacular sunset at the end of Captiva Drive. But before the sun sets, go boating down the waterways of the island to see local wildlife, including dolphins, crocodiles, blue herons and many different species of colorful birds.

Ā

#CLEARWATER BEACH šŸŒŠ

On Florida's western coast, you'll find beautiful Clearwater Beach. Treasured by locals and visitors alike, it's famous for its soft sand, blue waters, and beautiful views of both the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay. Join in on a game of beach volleyball or try out parasailing and enjoy a bird's eye view of the beach. The shallow, warm waters, pristine beaches, and picturesque sunsets make it a popular spot for families and photographers alike.

Ā

#BAHIA HONDA STATE PARK šŸŒ“

Google the term "great Florida beaches," and you'll easily find this Caribbean-like, island setting. With its crystal-white sands, transparent, clear-blue waters, and swaying palm trees, you'll understand why. Located 37 miles north of Key West. Bahia Honda is a popular state park in the Florida Keys, and one of the best in Florida, according to locals. Choose from three equally beautiful beaches: Calusa, on the northwest side; Sandspur on the Atlantic side; and Loggerhead on the western end of the island.

Ā

#FORT MYERS BEACH ā›±

Fort Myers Beach is for people who are looking for a true beach town atmosphere. It is located on the shores of Estero island, which is connected to the mainland by bridges.Fort Myers beach is full of excellent resorts, which are popular with couples and families alike, and it is known for being one of the best beaches in Florida for dolphin-watching. The soft sand stretches on for miles, but the most popular area is by the pier, where beachgoers sit under umbrellas or enjoy a game of beach volleyball. At the top of the beach are casual restaurants, ice-cream places, and beach apparel stores.
